Problem Note 45163: An error occurs when Oracle WebLogic Node Manager is installed in a 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating environment
Oracle WebLogic Node Manager might fail to connect to various servers when it is installed on a 64-bit Windows machine. When that happens, an error message similar to the following appear in the beasvc.log file:
[Mon Nov 21 19:24:33 2011] [E] [ServiceStart] Error in JVM. Cause=Unable to open'C:\PROGRA~1\Java\JDK16~2.0_2\jre\lib\ia64\jvm.cfg'
In addition, a message similar the following appears in both the beasvc.log and the nodemanager.log files:

This is a known Oracle WebLogic issue that is fixed in WebLogic 10.3.4. A patch
is available for the problem for older versions of WebLogic, as listed below:

Note: There is not a patch for WebLogic 10.3.1. If you experience this problem
with WebLogic 10.3.1, you should upgrade to a later release of WebLogic.
